XMOR LD8 Aerosol EA (400ml) is a non-aqueous liquid developer used in non-destructive testing (NDT), supplied in a pressurized aerosol can (~0.263 kg). It consists of a fine white powder suspended in a fast-evaporating solvent, forming a thin, uniform coating on surfaces. The formulation is low in sulfur, halogens, and alkali metals, ensuring compatibility with sensitive materials and minimizing corrosion risk. It is designed to provide high-contrast, clear indication of defects when used with penetrant systems.
Usage
Used in dye penetrant inspection (DPI) processes to detect surface defects such as cracks, porosity, laps, and weld flaws in metals and non-porous materials. After applying penetrant and removing excess, LD8 is sprayed to act like a blotter, drawing penetrant out of defects to make them visible under white or UV light.
