Strip Fenders (Series DSS) are extremely robust and can absorb large impacts; they are resistant to wear and tear and generally used for fisheries, harbours, small ferry wharves, or small boat jetties, where reaction force and energy absorption is very low. These fenders are fitted to avoid damage to the expensive ferries or small boats and the structure itself, and sometimes used for edge protection as they are easy to install and maintenance-free.
